The tenor Dumitru Gheorghiu works in arts domain for two and a half decades. The program of his artistic activity is very diverse: opera arias, canzonets, operettas, folk music, international music, all interpreted in the original (eight languages). He went on a series of tours in more than 40 countries in Europe, Asia, South and North Americas.

He is director of two musical films (classic and folk music)

Awards:

• As follow of the President’s Decret nr.40 dated March 12, 1993 awarded with the onorific title of „Arts Master”.
• Laureate of the 1-st international Festival "Music World", Italy 1998  (2-nd place).
• „Avram Iancu” diploma and medal for the outstanding contribution to the romanian art performances in the world.
• Diplomas for the great services in Culture and Musical Art promoting.
